The Wright City boys basketball team fell in their first round district matchup earlier this week.
The Wildcats were unable to overcome a double-digit halftime deficit in a 70-47 loss to Orchard Farm Monday. Orchard Farm used a big second quarter to build a 21-point halftime lead. Orchard Farm outscored Wright City 23-9 in the second quarter. Wright City went into halftime down 37-16.
Wright City was able to outscore Orchard Farm 19-14 in the fourth quarter.
Orchard Farm had three players reach double figures in the game. Junior Brady Wolf paced the Orchard Farm offensive attack with 18 points. Senior Tyler Spaeth added 13 points and led the team with six assists. Bryce Westerfield had a double-double for Orchard Farm. He scored 10 points and had 15 rebounds.
