The Warrenton Lady Warriors cruised to a 22-point district semifinal win Tuesday night to advance to the district finals.
Warrenton defeated McCluer North 58-36 in Warrenton’s first district game to advance to Friday’s district final.
"Kendall Taylor came off the bench and gave us a huge lift with three made three-point shots including an and-one on a three.,” Coach Greg Williams said. “She had 14 points for the game. Garneisha Love had a good night with a double-double. 21 points and 11 rebounds. Zoe Klaus gave us a great effort as well.”
The Lady Warriors advanced to the semifinal due to a Riverview Gardens forfeit.
The Lady Warriors will square off against St. Dominic in the district final. St. Dominic defeated Ft. Zumwalt East 54-34 in Tuesday’s district semifinal. They defeated McCluer 67-25 in the quarterfinals.
The district final will be played at 5:30 p.m. at Warrenton High School.
