The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of May 8 through May 14.

Monday, May 8

  • Accident report. Westbound driver merged to the right of the roadway to avoid an Eastbound vehicle crossing the center line. Vehicle struck a concrete divet on the side of the road and damaged its undercarriage and right side tires. No injuries reported. Vehicle towed by Rover City Towing.
  • Store personnel observed man conceal items and leave the store without paying. Officers located the subject walking in the parking lot. Black, Male, age 21 was arrested for shoplifting and multiple warrants out of the City of Warrenton. Citation issued.
  • One vehicle accident. Vehicle struck a post in Rural King parking lot. No injuries reported. Vehicle was operational and able to be driven from the scene.

Tuesday, May 9

  • Side mirror broken off parked, unoccupied vehicle in High School parking lot. Under investigation.
  • Store personnel observed woman conceal items and attempt to leave the store without paying. Citation was issued to Black, female, age 39.

Wednesday, May 10

  • Unknown subject(s) broke the locking mechanisms on two restroom doors at Lakeview Park. Estimated cost of loss unknown at this time.

Sunday, May 14

  • Driver, white, male, age 59, arrested after methamphetamine was found in vehicle. Charges pending lab results.
  • Three vehicle accident. Vehicles were stopped on the interstate due to traffic. Vehicle One was unable to stop in time and collided with rear of Vehicle Two which then collided with rear of Vehicle Three. No injuries reported. All Vehicles were operational and able to be driven from the scene.
