Monday, Nov. 4
Eastbound Interstate 70, single vehicle accident. Driver ran off roadway from the left lane into the median, running several hundred feet before knocking the guard barrier down. At the time of the accident, as well as the on scene investigation, the interstate was dark and unlit and rain was present. The interstate had water present on the roadway. Probable contributing circumstances are operating a motor vehicle too fast for conditions (rain). No injuries were reported.
Saturday, Nov. 9
Warren County Center, stealing. Store employee witnessed a female subject failing to scan items while checking out at the self checkout. All items were recovered and a citation was issued.
NE Service Road, two vehicle accident. Driver was traveling east, slowed to a stop at the T-intersection of the NE Service Road and State Highway AA, activated his blinker, and was waiting to turn left to continue north on State Highway AA. Shortly after coming to a stop, the driver stated that vehicle two collided with the rear of vehicle. Damage to vehicle one was minor and isolated to the rear bumper and the muffler. The muffler was partially dislodged and touching the roadway. Prime Towing assisted the driver in temporarily fixing the muffler to allow the vehicle to leave the scene under its own power safely. No injuries were reported.
Friday, Nov. 15
N State Highway 47, two vehicle accident. Driver one stated they entered the turning lane to turn eastbound on Interstate 70. The driver stated the sun was in their eyes and that she had to merge out of the turning lane and attempted to merge in the southbound lanes and not make the left turn eastbound on Interstate 70. Vehicle two was damaged and not considered operational at this time. Prime Towing and Recovery arrived on scene and towed the vehicle off the scene for the operator. Both drivers and all occupants that were in the vehicles involved in this motor vehicle accident refused to seek medical treatment.
