The Record
The Warrenton Police Department released the following weekly incident report for the dates of July 24 through July 30.
Monday, July 24
Two vehicle accident. Vehicles One and Two were entering the left turn lane for the Westbound I-70 on ramp when Vehicle Two suddenly stopped. Vehicle One impacted the rear of Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were operational and able to be driven from the scene.
Unknown subject took catalytic converter from commercial vehicle parked at outlet mall. Estimated cost of loss $1,303.00.
Wednesday, July 26
Subject taken into custody for trespassing at a residence. The woman had been trespassed from the property earlier in the day. Glass pipe with residue found during search of subject’s bag incident to arrest. Citations issued for trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Thursday, July 27
Traffic stop attempted on vehicle observed committing several traffic violations. The vehicle slowed, sped up again, then eventually stopped. The driver jumped out and fled the scene on foot. A female passenger was taken into custody. Fentanyl and paraphernalia were located during vehicle search. Under investigation.
Two vehicle accident. Vehicle One failed to stop for a red light and struck Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were operational and able to be driven from the scene.
Subject left dog inside non-running vehicle with the windows closed and went inside Walmart. The dog appeared to be in distress and was removed from the unlocked vehicle in order to provide cooling measures. Citation issued to white, female, age 38.
One vehicle accident. Uhaul vehicle struck hotel awning causing minor damage. No injuries reported. Vehicle did not require a tow.
Friday, July 28
Owner of residence stated somebody had been sleeping at his property without permission. Officer found white, female, age 35 sleeping inside a closet. Subject taken into custody. Citation issued for trespassing.
Saturday, July 29
Two vehicle accident. Vehicles One and Two were making a left turn. Vehicle One attempted to merge into the left lane and collided with Vehicle Two. No injuries reported. Both vehicles were operational and able to be driven from the scene.
Two vehicle accident. Driver Two reversed to make more room for a turning semi and his vehicle struck front of Vehicle One. Driver One did not stop and left scene. No injuries reported. Vehicle Two was operational and able to be driven from the scene.
