Warrenton will close City Hall twice in December.
The first closure will be from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 1 so employees can attend the annual awards banquet.
The second closure is all day Dec. 26 at the request of Mayor Eric Schlueter.
“I think it’s well worth it and I think our employees deserve it,” Schlueter said during the Nov. 21 board of aldermen meeting.
The lobby will be open from 3 to 5 p.m. that day, though, so anyone wishing to run as a candidate in the 2024 election can turn in their application.
Applications are due by 5 p.m Dec. 26, and City Hall is required to be open that day by state statute.
