Virginia Clare Pollock

Ms. Virginia Clare Pollock, of Columbia, formally of Warrenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Virginia was born August 22, 1937 in Warrenton, the daughter of William Foster Pollock and Lucille Frances (nee: Goran) Pollock. Virginia had reached the age of 83 years 3 months and 3 days.

Virginia graduated from Warrenton High School. She was the last charter member of Warrenton Baptist Church, organized in 1952. She held many offices in the church, namely organist for over 60 years, Sunday School teacher and church clerk. Her parents were charter members also. Virginia's main hobbies were music, being on the computer, knitting and collecting good recipes. She loved listening to music and she attended many gospel music concerts.

Virginia Clare Pollock was preceded in death by her parents; William and Lucille, one brother; Harold Pollock, who was killed in World War II, one sister; Margaret Bohnemeyer and her husband Bill, her first cousin; Thomas Lee Goran, her beloved cats; Mr. Boots and Miss Kitty and her dog, Missy. Virginia is survived by cousins; Betty Goran, Sherri and Duane Perry, Jeff and Candy Goran, Jason and Lisa Goran, Becky and Steve Cook.

A committal service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Warrenton City Cemetery beginning at 10:00 a.m.
