Truesdale police responded to an “incident” along Interstate 70 on Feb. 27.
“It started as something pretty small and it turned into something pretty big and there were a lot of different agencies involved,” Truesdale Police Chief Casey Doyle said.
He also said the incident remains under investigation and released no specific details about what happened.
He said the report did not have to be filed until 10 days after the incident. More details about what happened will be published as soon as the report becomes available.
The department was assisted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Warrenton Police Department during the incident.
He did say that Sgt. Kelly responded to the call, and that state police appreciated his response and for taking over responsibility for the scene.
“I don’t think other agencies in the county do that so often on the interstate,” Doyle said. “I think they call the highway patrol. It’s been a policy of ours for a few years that we will provide law enforcement services citywide to include the interstate and that also includes spot enforcement.”
KMOV Channel 4 spoke with Justin Ringling, of Warrenton, about the incident. Ringling did not return multiple emails or phone calls from The Warren County Record requesting comment.
The KMOV story indicates that a suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Warren County Jail.
