Mrs. Teresa Ann Schmierbach (nee: Goodsell) of Wright City passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, with her husband by her side. She was born on Aug. 25, 1958, in St. Louis to Charles Goodsell and the late Betty "Joyce" Goodsell (nee: Harper.) Teresa had reached the age of 64 years.
Teresa was united in marriage to Mark Schmierbach in 1979 and spent 43 wonderful years together. To this union, they had one son, Ethan. Teresa enjoyed cross-stitch projects and to make quilt blocks, although she never made a quilt. She loved Cardinal baseball, collecting Precious Moments figurines and Yankee Candles, and she was a very good cook. Teresa also enjoyed going to concerts and to travel on multi-state trips with her dear friend. Most of all, spending time with her family meant the most to her. Teresa was a beloved wife, loving mother and grandmother.
Those that are grateful for having shared in Teresa's life are her beloved husband, Mark Schmierbach; loving son, Ethan Schmierbach; her cherished grandson, Ezekiel Schmierbach; dear father, Charles Goodsell; brother, Stephen (Cindy) Goodsell; and sister, Mary (Eric) Kolodziej. Teresa is preceded in death by her mother, Betty "Joyce" Goodsell (nee: Harper). She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.
A memorial visitation for Teresa will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a Celebration of Life service to immediately follow, both at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with an inurnment to follow in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
