Contractor crews are working on a sidewalk improvement project on Highway 47 in Warrenton from Veterans Memorial Parkway to East Walton Street.
Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures throughout the project.
Weather permitting, there will be a scheduled closure at East Walton Street as early as mid-December lasting approximately two weeks.
All work is weather dependent and may be halted for winter weather.
Workers will be present during daytime hours and motorists can anticipate minor traffic impacts on sidewalks and driveways.
This work is being completed as part of MoDOT’s initiative for compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
This contract also includes sidewalk improvement projects in Warren County located on Route J and the North Outer Road in Wright City. MoDOT asks that motorists be attentive in work zones for their safety and the safety of highway workers.
Signs and message boards will be in place to alert motorists, as schedule changes occur.
The contract for these projects was awarded earlier this year to S&A Equipment & Builders, LLC of Fulton, Missouri in the amount of $1,263,114.90.
