Temporary traffic impacts are anticipated beginning the week of Sept. 12, weather permitting, as resurfacing work begins on Route TT from Route 94 near Dutzow to Route T in St. Charles County. The length of this improvement is 3.5 miles and is anticipated to be completed within approximately one week.
“Work will take place during nighttime hours, Monday through Friday between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. when traffic volumes are lower. While workers are present, the road will be closed to through traffic with only local residential traffic and emergency vehicles allowed,” explained Missouri Department of Transportation Area Engineer Jeff Niemeyer.
Traffic will be detoured over Warren County Route D and Missouri Route 47. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
“For the safety of the crews and the traveling public, we would like to remind drivers to be attentive in work zones and put down your cell phones to eliminate distractions,” Niemeyer added.
The $1.9M contract, awarded last year to Pace Construction Company, includes the following additional projects:
• Route A resurfacing from Route DD in Lincoln County to I-70 near Pendleton. The total length of improvement is 12.9 miles. Workers will be present during daylight hours. Resurfacing operations are tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 19; work will be completed within 30 days.
• Lincoln County Route U resurfacing from Route 47 to Route J south junction near Troy. The length of the improvement is 8.9 miles.
