Mr. Roger Mose Wilson of Warrenton passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at his home. He was born on March 7, 1948, in Washington, MO, to the late Mose and Elva (nee: Polston) Wilson. Roger had reached the age of 74 years.

Roger worked as a machinist for several local companies, including Binkley, CE Glass and the copper plant. Roger was united in marriage to Linda Sue Ferguson on November 24, 1971, here in Warrenton. Last November they celebrated 50 years together. Roger loved to wrestle. He was a professional wrestler and was known as "Bear Wilson." He competed in several locations throughout Missouri. He also loved tractors, especially John Deere Tractors. He even had his home done in the John Deere colors of green and yellow. He and Linda would attend two or three tractor shows a year at various locations. Roger also enjoyed farming, plowing and brush hogging on his tractor. Roger and Linda also enjoyed going camping together. He was known also as a storyteller and would tell the same story to everyone.

Roger Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Elva. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda; their special friends and neighbors who have become their family, Kevin and Katie Gentry and their children, Andrea, Austin and Annabelle; close friends, Gary and Glenda Robison; other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for Roger Wilson will be held on Thursday, August 25, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will immediately follow, also at the funeral home.
