Mr. Richard Wayne Buxton, of Warrenton, MO., passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Richard was born on February 27, 1959 in Washington, MO., to Merle and Shirley (nee: Bakameyer) Buxton. He had reached the age of 61 years 8 months and 28 days.
Richard was united in marriage to Diane Sue Polston on October 20, 1979 in Warrenton. To this union two children were born, Katy and Kevin. Richard and Diane spent 41 wonderful years together. He was a very devoted and loving husband, father and grandpa. Richard worked for many years at the Warren County Road Department. He always greeted you with a smile on his face and was the first to offer help to anyone in need. He especially enjoyed days spent at the farm in Marthasville with his three grandsons. They enjoyed hunting and fishing together. He also enjoyed drinking and dancing and playing tricks on people. Richard was a fun loving person who enjoyed his life, family and friends.
Richard Buxton was preceded in death by his son; Kevin Buxton, his father; Merle Buxton, and his in-laws; Glenn and Mary Ann Polston. Grateful for having shared in his life are his loving wife, Diane Buxton; one daughter, Katy LeBeau and husband Chris; three grandchildren; Mason, Lane and Cameron; his mother, Shirley Buxton; one brother, Gary Buxton and wife Darlene; one daughter in law, Tami Buxton; brother in law, David Polston and wife Suzie; nieces and nephews, Gary Buxton Jr., Michael Buxton, Sarah Kopmann and husband Eric, Joe Polston, Josh Polston and wife Erika; other relatives and many friends.
A Celebration of Richard's life will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020, 2:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Masks are required to attend the celebration as well as 6 foot social distancing. The family has also requested that there be no congregating at the funeral home after paying respects, due to COVID 19.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial donations are preferred to 'The Kevin Buxton Annual Fishing Tournament" sponsored by the Treloar Boat Club.
