Richard Lynn Morhaus, of Warrenton, passed away on Friday, March 17. He was born December 2, 1951, in Washington, to the late Leroy and Opal Morhaus (nee: Wefenstette). Richard had reached the age of 71 years.

Richard was united in marriage to Charlotte Morhaus (nee: Dyer) on November 9, 1988, and shared 34 wonderful years together. To this union, two children were born, Michelle and Jeff.

Richard spent 46 years on the road as a truck driver and had a special love for his dogs, especially his Labs. When not on the road he enjoyed fishing, fast cars, and watching NASCAR. Spending time with his grandchildren, and taking vacations with his family was what meant the most to him. An afternoon at "The Hideout" with his friends or just relaxing out in his shed always made for a good day. Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Those that are grateful for having shared in Richard's life are his beloved wife, Charlotte; his loving children, Michelle (Nathan) Eaklor and Jeff (Ketti) Morhaus; his cherished grandchildren, Marina, Maverick, Maxine, Jocelyn, and Madilyn; his dear siblings, Jennifer (Jimmy) LoMonaco, Carl Morhaus and sister-in-law, Dawn Morhaus; nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Opal Morhaus, and one brother, Jeff Morhaus.

A Celebration of Life for Richard will be scheduled at a later date. The family is in the care of Martin Funeral Home.
