A Marthasville-area resident was killed in an overnight crash Nov. 6 in rural St. Charles County after his vehicle lost control and drove off the road, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The driver, Benjamin M. Engemann, 22, was driving southward on Highway T, south of the Highway D junction, when the crash occurred around 2:20 a.m., according to a highway patrol crash report. Investigators said the Ford F-250 Engemann was driving traveled off the right side of the road and skidded. It swerved across the highway and overturned, striking a ditch and a utility pole.
Engemann was pronounced deceased a short time later by EMS personnel at the scene, the highway patrol said. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
