A Veterans Day breakfast will be held to honor area veterans on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 a.m. The event will be held at the Marthasville Fire Protection District Station 1 at 405 E. Main St. in Marthasville. All profits from the breakfast will be donated to The Freedom 13, in tribute to the military personnel who died in the Kabul, Afghanistan attack.
Colors will post at 8 a.m., with breakfast served at 8:30 a.m. A special guest follows at 9:30 a.m. The breakfast menu includes biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, milk, orange juice and coffee.
The cost for veterans is $5; adults are $10; and children are $5. There will be a gun raffle and a 50/50 raffle. If you would like to contribute to the event, contact Sean Johnson at 636-667-8920. For more information about The Freedom 13, visit thefreedom13.org.
