Warren County deputies have arrested a man for allegedly molesting a child on numerous occasions in southern Warren County.
Thomas L. Kopmann, 50, was arrested May 1 and is charged with first-degree child molestation. He is being held at the Warren County Jail without bond.
The sheriff’s department was contacted in late April and made aware of alleged sex offenses previously committed by Kopmann, according to a sheriff’s department report. The reported victim is a female who was less than 14 years old at the time. The victim told investigators that Kopmann had
touched her inappropriately on numerous occasions over the course of about four years.
Kopmann admitted to a deputy that he had inappropriate contact with the juvenile, the sheriff’s department said. When asked why he had done this, Kopmann allegedly responded that his actions were instinctual.
Kopmann had a hearing scheduled for May 13 in Warren County Circuit Court.
