Linda Lee Hires (nee: Poe) of Warrenton passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022. She was born on Dec. 8, 1939, to the late Calvin Lee and Margaret Helen Poe (nee: Andersen). Linda had reached the age of 82 years.
Linda was united in marriage to the late Homer Eugene Hires and spent many wonderful years together. Linda lived life to the fullest and loved to be adventurous. She was a dedicated member of her church, Dardenne Baptist, and loved her time there. She cherished her two cats, Faith and Joy, but spending time with her family meant the most to her. Linda was a devoted friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Those that are grateful for having shared in Linda's life are her son, Rob (Tracey) Hires; her grandchildren, Matt (Tamra) Hires, Devin (Megan) Hires and Bethany (G. J.) Bennett; great-grandson, Felix Hires; her dear siblings, Calvin Lee (Bonnie) Poe Jr., Christine (Mike) Ward and Cindy (Ron) Wood. She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend to many. Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Homer; her parents, Calvin and Margaret; and her two sons, Jeffrey Hires and Daniel Hires.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 27, with a funeral service to immediately follow, at Dardenne Baptist. Burial will follow at the Linn Cemetery in Wentzville.
