To the Editor,
Over 500 years ago, Niccolo Machiavelli wrote a book that has survived the test of time. It was called "The Prince.”
In it were laid out the strategies powerful people use to retain political control. Machiavelli coined the phrase: The end justifies the means.
If this concept is true, then yes, Rush Limbaugh was a great man. He was able to use his rude, sassy wit to abuse and demean for forty years. He was able to galvanize hatred and disgust toward anyone not white or middle class.
I take great issue with Reps. West and Sander. Our nation did not suffer a loss at the passing of Rush Limbaugh, a man who made his millions insulting and reviling humanity. As Christians, our job is to lift people up, not put them down.
