To the Editor,
I can only say that the sign on Highway 47 is a joke and so are elected officials throughout the county. If they truly cared about the citizens of this town and county, they would mandate mask wearing in public.
I know people object to it and continue to refuse to wear a mask and social distance, but when you go to the local grocery store and the butcher, deli worker, and bakery worker aren’t wearing a mask, or go to a local restaurant and not one waitress has a mask on, that’s spreading germs everywhere and it’s unhealthy.
I don’t understand how wearing a mask can hurt business in Warrenton? I’ve heard all the negative comments, especially “Then just stay home.” Well, that’s just not possible at times.
As of this morning (Dec. 2), there have been 10 COVID deaths in Warren County. Even one more is too many.
Mandating mask wearing isn’t going to hurt businesses or any one person. It can only help.
