Letter: Decency has left the nation

To the Editor,

I would like to applaud the letter sent from the Notzes recently in the Record. What they expressed couldn’t have been said better. Decency, morals, common sense and God have left the nation. Can’t be found in most homes, businesses, unfortunately some churches and also our schools.

While eating in a restaurant recently I had to ask to be moved from our booth because of the language the group behind us was using. No respect at all to what they were saying and how loud they were talking.

What the government (oops, I mean public) schools now are wanting to teach our young children grades K-4 a topic that can’t be mentioned in the common workplace without reprimand is horrendous. Sex education at that level is unthinkable. It’s so important at that age to teach those curious minds about reading and math, not worrying about what “gender” they are. God created two genders: male and female. Period.

I recently learned that there are colleges teaching classes on pornography. Curious as to what that class really provides as far as an education, and if I was a parent paying for that class, I would be enraged. My children went to college, and maybe I was lucky that I was involved with what classes they were signing up to take. Classes that would better them to be prepared for their career. Not something that they would get from a pornography class, that’s for sure.

I truly pray every day for our country along with the Notzes. God bless America!

Thank you again, Mr. and Mrs. Notz, for having the courage to speak out.
