To the Editor,
I felt compelled to expressed my pride in the sense of community I’ve witnessed at various points during the recent cold weather. I offer my personal gratitude to all the folks offering me a ride while I was out exercising in the cold and snow. As I was turning around on my drive home to offer a ride to a woman walking along North Highway 47, I witnessed another driver who stopped to pick her up for a ride.
On that note, how incredible is it that our community supported the need of a sidewalk along North Highway 47? Citizens of Warrenton and Warren County should be proud of the community! I am reminded of the Bible verse Hebrews 13:16, “But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.” I feel blessed to live in a community where the needs of the citizenry is the focal point of the decision making.
