Warrenton placed fourth at the Class 4 state softball tournament.
The Lady Warriors dropped the third place game to Washington 10-0 in five innings. Washington won the state title last season.
Washington scored six runs in the third inning to break the game open. They scored one run in the second inning and three runs in the fifth inning.
Makayla Witthaus reached base twice in the loss.
Warrenton fell to Kearney 6-3 earlier today in the Class 4 state semifinals.
Warrenton finished the season 16-10. They beat Incarnate Word 3-2 in the state quarterfinals to advance to the state semifinals.
