Jeffrey Louis Gelencir of Warrenton passed away on Sept. 29, 2022. He was born on Oct. 7, 1967, in St. Louis to the late Louis and Norma Gelencir. Jeff had reached the age of 54 years.
Jeff was united in marriage to Kelly Gelencir (nee: King) on October 18, 2003, and spent 18 wonderful years together. Jeff was the loving father of Jordan Gelencir, Ian Gelencir and Logan Gelencir.
Jeff had a passion for semi trucks. He spent many miles as an over-the-road truck driver before becoming a tow truck driver to have more time with his family at home. He was always on the go and unstoppable; always looking for an adventure. He loved spending time with his family, especially the times he could spend with his daughter, Jordan. Jeff also had a special passion for any kind of trains and loved to build trains with his sons, Ian and Logan.
Those that are grateful for having shared in Jeff's life are his beloved wife, Kelly; his daughter, Jordan (Anthony) Gelencir; and his two sons, Ian and Logan; his sister, Sharon (Steve) Bryant; mother-in-law, Susan King; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Jason) Proffitt and Wendy (Tim) Buerk; brother-in-law, Joe (Nicole) King; his nephews, Phillip Bryant and Jonathan Bryant; and many other nieces and nephews. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Norma Gelencir; and his father-in-law, Robert King. He was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
A visitation for Jeff will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Family Community Church in Warrenton.
