Janet Sue Stelloh, 71, of Warrenton, passed away surrounded by her husband, daughters, and their families on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. 

Jan was born on April 14, 1950, in Washington, Missouri. The daughter of Gilbert B. Turner and Marie P. Petersmeyer Turner.

Jan was united in marriage to Martin (Bud) Stelloh on June 27, 1981. They celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Jan was a professional volunteer. She spent 36 years as a girl scout leader and served in other top roles in the local Girl Scout system. In 2013 she was awarded the Green Angel Award for her years of service to the Girl Scouts.  She loved children and cared for many youngsters that still call her Grandma Jan. In 1994 she, along with Martin, started Just a Notion Embroidery which Jan and Bud ran together until November 2021. She helped grow Warrenton Baptist Church as a member of WMU, a GA and Acteen leader, Sunday School teacher, and youth leader. She was most recently a member of Fellowship Baptist Church where she served as the Treasurer. She also sent smiles and joy through her Folded Hugs Card Ministry.

She served in the VFW Women’s Auxiliary helping where she was needed. In her free time, she was the master of scrapbooking, crafting and card making. She loved to go shopping and search for the best deals. She had a sweet tooth, enjoyed baking and licking the bowl. She loved her grandchildren deeply and enjoyed being a part of their sports and activities. She was proud of each one of them. She taught them to make the world a better place and to love Jesus. She was a positive and fun-loving wife, mother, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by the multitudes who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marie and Gilbert Turner, Sister Laura Jane Turner and Brother-in-law Roger Dean, and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Minellono.

Janet is survived by 2 daughters Kristi Cox (Joe), Kimberly Long (Wayne); 5 grandchildren, Corey Austin, Allison Joe, Zachary Hunter, Kaleb Hunter, and Tyler Joseph all of Kansas City, Missouri. Sister Nancy Dean of Florida, 2 Nephews Derek Dean (Sonya) of Florida, and Darren Dean (Laura) of Hawaii. Other relatives and many, many friends.

Funeral Services were held at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton Missouri December 4, 2021. Memorials to VFW Post 2180 of Warrenton, Missouri.
