Gary D. "Buck" Fowler of Warrenton passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022. He was born on June 14, 1935, in Green County, IN, to the late Lola Mae Fowler. He had reached the age of 86 years.

Gary, also known as "Buck," was united in marriage to his beloved wife, Grace Joann, and shared 62 wonderful years together. To this union, two sons were born, Larry and the late Gary Fowler.

Gary was a heavy equipment mechanic and had quite the mechanical aptitude, being able to fix anything that was broken. He loved to ride motorcycles and even had the pleasure of knowing the late Evel Knievel. He served in the U.S. Military during the Korean War where Military Aviation became a very important part of his life. He retired as an operating engineer from both San Francisco and Seattle. Gary lived an active and very full life; he loved spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters, even if it was teaching them how a diesel engine operates through a chalkboard diagram.

Those that are grateful for having shared in Gary's life are his beloved wife, Grace; loving son, Larry (Susan) Fowler; and cherished granddaughters, Olivia and Emma Fowler. Gary is preceded in death by his mother, Lola Mae; son, Gary Fowler; and brothers, Charles, Carrol and Clyde Young. He was dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many; he will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 3, 2022, with a memorial service to immediately follow at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Burial will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated in honor of Buck to Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society or a charity of your choice.
