On April 11 and 13, 2024 Warrenton Police officers took three reports for burglary and theft from storage units at the Bestbox Storage Facility in Warrenton.
When reviewing surveillance footage, Detective James Plackemeier reported a black Toyota Camry, registered to the suspect’s brother, entered the storage facility and four storage units after breaking an exterior lock, according to the probable cause statement.
A search warrant was executed at 40-year-old Ray Gamblin’s Florissant residence where officers recovered just over $8,000 in stolen items, according to the probable cause statement. There were still roughly $3,000 worth of items that were not recovered at the residence.
During an interview with Gamblin, he identified an additional suspect who was involved with the thefts.
Gamblin was charged with three counts of burglary in the second degree along with two counts of stealing $750 or more, all felonies, and stealing, a misdemeanor.
A warrant has been issued for his arrest and he is to be held without bond.
