Prosecutors have issued a felony charge against a Warren County man accused of injuring a woman at a home in rural Warren County south of Innsbrook.
Dominic V. Kennedy, 24, was arrested after a warrant was issued Nov. 7 for an incident that allegedly occurred in September. He is charged with second-degree domestic assault, a class D felony.
According to a court document submitted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Kennedy was accused in a Sept. 10 assault that was reported to law enforcement around 5:15 p.m. that day. The assault was reported at home off of South Stracks Church Road.
Deputies reported that a woman located at the home had a deep bruise on her forehead. The woman alleged that Kennedy had pushed her into a door and caused her to hit her head.
A witness at the home allegedly confirmed the woman’s story.
Kennedy is being held at the Warren County Jail, with bail set at $5,000 with a condition that he have no contact with the victim in the case. A defense attorney is petitioning the court to reduce Kennedy’s bail amount, according to online court records.
