Voters across Warren County will have electoral races to watch and candidates to get to know after the closing of municipal candidate filing on Tuesday. Nearly all areas of the county have competitive races for local city governments, school boards and emergency service districts.
Notably, seats on the Marthasville Board of Aldermen, Marthasville Ambulance District Board, and 911 Dispatch Board of Directors have joined the list of elections with at least two candidates. 2022 is looking to be one of the overall more active years for local election participation.
In the Marthasville area, city residents Chris Pitucha and Lauren Williams added their names to the ballot for Marthasville West Ward alderman. That sets them up to compete with current Alderman Chris DeVore.
Nearby at Marthasville Community Ambulance District, incumbent board member Tracy Holt has registered to run again in Subdistrict 6, which is the Dutzow area. Holt is being challenged for the seat by Amanda Meyer.
And up in Warrenton, one more person registered for the city's board of aldermen. John Clark added his name to the ballot in Ward 3, setting up to compete with candidates Gary Miller and Nicholas Sperlo. Incumbent Bob Delaloye did not sign up for re-election.
Two more people registered for elections to the board of directors for the 911 Dispatch Center. Incumbent Caitlyn Struckhoff registered to run again for a seat representing the Southern District of Warren County, while incumbent Matt Eskew registered for an at-large seat. Struckhoff is challenged by Clay Lively; Eskew is unopposed.
