David Wayne Reynolds, passed in peace at the age of 80 on September 14, 2021, at his home in Montgomery City, Mo.

Born on November 8, 1940, to Muriel and Clyde Reynolds at the family home in Troy, Mo.

Dave had one daughter, Teresa Jo (Larry) Paul. Three grandchildren, Ryan Jacob Thornton, Andrea Rachel (James) Sherman, Larry Wayne (Erin) Paul. Eight great-grandchildren, Braden, Hunter, Parker, Everleigh, Alexa, Chloe, Oliver, and Nolan.

Dave is survived by his wife Carol (presh) of 42 years, sister Mary Joan (Harold) Russell, Brother’s Clifford (Harrietta) Reynolds and Allen Reynolds, one sister-in-law Janet Reynolds and their donkey Jenny.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents Muriel and Clyde and brother Curtis.

Dave owned Reynold’s Construction where he was a skilled Carpenter and took great pride in the work he did, building some of the most beautiful pole barns and buildings that stand just as beautiful today. Dave was a Volunteer Firefighter for many years in Warrenton, MO, and an Army Veteran stationed in Alaska.

In Dave’s earlier years, he and Carol raised sheep, cows, goats, chickens, and one mean rooster.

Dave’s grandchildren spent many days with them on their farm learning to milk the goats and that sheep do indeed bite with no top teeth, collecting eggs and getting attacked by that one mean rooster.

Dave’s sense of humor and deep slow voice will be dearly missed by so many.

A special Thank you to Tom and Bonnie Smith, Dave and Tammy Teeter, Pam Andrews, Bruce, and Nell Fischbach, and Harry and Sharon Pottebaum.

Services are private.

Schlanker Funeral Home of Montgomery City, MO, was in charge of the arrangements.
