INNSBROOK — Warrenton business owner J. Davidson, owner of Wholesale Fireworks, has committed to sponsorship of the naming rights for the Wags & Whiskers building, currently under construction at 13620 State Highway M in the village of Innsbrook.
“I have seen firsthand the need in our community for the animal shelter and appreciate the efforts of Wags & Whiskers to help solve the stray animal issue in our county,” said J. Davidson, “My expectation is for other area businesses to also lend their support.”
“Mr. Davidson’s generous $50,000 donation helps us to continue our work on Wags & Whiskers as we rely solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations and we are honored to have his name on our shelter building,” said Katie Joyce, Wags & Whiskers board president.
Phase One of construction is almost complete with the exterior structure finished and the floor poured. Phase Two interior completions will then begin with drywall, construction of dog kennels and cat rooms, and interior finishes including painting and flooring. Community support is needed to move this second phase forward, according to board members of the nonprofit shelter.
There are many opportunities for businesses and individuals to be involved, such as naming rights to dog kennels, cat condos, outdoor play yard, brick pavers, donations for fencing, flooring, doors, and more. Plus, volunteers are always needed to help with these projects.
