Prosecutors have issued a warrant for a man accused of assaulting a woman with multiple items and causing injuries that required stitches and a sling.
Joey L. Glass, 39, of Warrenton, was charged Sept. 23 for a domestic assault that allegedly occurred on Aug. 3 at a home on Ashland Avenue in Warrenton.
According to court documents, Glass was involved in an argument with the victim that turned physical. The victim alleged that she tried to leave in her vehicle, but that Glass reached in with a key that caused cuts on her throat. Glass then allegedly grabbed the woman and pulled her from the vehicle and onto the ground.
The woman told Warrenton police that when she tried to get away, Glass picked up her phone and threw it at her multiple times, striking her arm and head, and causing significant injury.
Police reported that the woman required six stitches for a cut on the side of her head, had multiple cuts on her neck, and required a sling for the injury to her arm.
The warrant for Glass’s arrest includes no bond until he is seen by a judge.
