Teens charged for stealing car that they crashed

Two Warren County teens were charged last week for stealing a car in Truesdale with a loaded gun inside, then crashing the vehicle in St. Louis County.

Tyler J. Narzinski, 17, Truesdale, and Dominic A. Sprick, 17, Warrenton, are both charged with stealing a motor vehicle and stealing a firearm, class D felonies.

The alleged theft occurred on the morning of July 3, according to a Truesdale police report. At 7:56 a.m., a resident called to report that his 2006 Chrysler sedan had been stolen from his home on South Street. Inside the vehicle was a 9 mm handgun and a debit card.

Around 8 a.m., Bridgeton Police Department recovered the vehicle in Bridgeton after it was wrecked, according to the police report.

The two teens allegedly admitted to Bridgeton police that they were “car hopping,” found the keys to the Chrysler and took it. Narzinksi allegedly admitted to driving the vehicle, while the stolen handgun was found in Sprick’s waistband, according to the Truesdale police report.

The warrants issued for the teenagers include authorization for them to be released on their own recognizance once they’ve been booked at the Warren County Jail.
