After graduating from high school, Maggie attended the University of Missouri and was the first woman to receive an industrial engineering degree from Mizzou.

With college completed, Maggie and Steve were married on April 6, 1968, in Warrenton, MO and their adventure began. They relocated to Arlington, Texas to begin their family and start careers. They have two children: Tracey and Jason.
Maggie started her career and after a few years, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas became her work home. Maggie spent the better part of 30 years in the Operations Analysis Department at the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas and made many great friends there.

Maggie and Steve relocated to Fredericksburg, Texas following Maggie’s retirement from the Federal Reserve Bank in 2008. They built their dream home on 15 acres of land. Maggie enjoyed gardening, cooking, and watching the deer from her back patio.

Maggie loved spending time in the kitchen recreating meals from the many cooking shows she enjoyed watching. Maggie had a love for watching all sporting events but her all-time favorite was watching her son play football at The University of Oklahoma. Maggie was an avid spectator at her children’s sporting events and never missed a game. Maggie with her sister, Maxine went on many great adventures after Steve had passed away. Her house was always open to her family and friends as well as her children’s friends and you would never go home hungry.

Maggie was a fighter and fought to the end. Diagnosed with multiple myeloma almost 8 years ago she underwent radiation, chemotherapy, and a stem cell transplant. She went to her final resting place on March 24, 2021.
