Four Warrenton girls soccer players were named to all-conference or all-district teams for their performances this season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Courtney Bayer was a second-team All-GAC North selection for the second time after saving 265 shots this season.
She also was named to the all-district team.
“She was a captain for us this year and she just worked hard every day in practice,” Warrenton Head Coach Amy Wargowsky said.
Freshman Madilynn Lombardo landed on the all-conference second team with 29 goals and five assists.
“She scored a season high of 29 goals, and was an aggressive and smart offensive player,” Wargowsky said. “I’m looking forward to three more years.”
Junior Naomi Rodriguez added five goals and four assists this spring.
“She was a central player for us,” Wargowsky said. “She played center mid and contributed both offensively and defensively. She was always in the right position on the field.”
Sophomore Lexi Frederick, who scored eight goals while leading the Warriors with 29 assists, was an all-district honoree.
“She was another central player for us playing center mid,” Wargowsky said. “She was great at dispersing the ball, as well as being able to shoot from anywhere and being in the right position.”
