To The Editor:

Often at the end of the school year it is not just the seniors we bid farewell to, but also teachers and coaches who guided students throughout the year.

Educators do not simply leave the district without additional benefits, as they often leave in pursuit of higher pay and shorter drives to work, which is no fault of their own as they set personal needs as the highest priority.

By passing Proposition W, we can put an end to this trend by raising the pay of all staff across the entire district, making it competitive with the surrounding schools and providing them with the financial stability to retain them year to year.

By keeping more teachers and staff in the district for a longer period of time, they buy into our community, instilling a greater sense of pride in our district and giving a greater value to the education of our children. This could only result in a better learning environment for students and a better level of engagement for staff, paving the way for a better overall future for Warren County. Please vote yes on Aug. 6.
