Warrenton police arrested a man last week after two people alleged that he choked each of them during an argument that became violent.
Brett Stribling, 26, Warrenton, was arrested July 26 and charged with two counts of third-degree assault.
Police were called to Stribling’s residence in the 200 block of Pinckney Street around 10 a.m. July 26 for an assault in progress, according to police.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with two victims who said they had been in a violent altercation with Stribling that began with an argument over laundry being removed from a dryer.
Stribling allegedly grabbed one victim’s neck with both hands and prevented her from breathing. Police said there were red marks around the woman’s neck.
The other person at the residence reportedly intervened and she also was assaulted. Stribling allegedly grabbed her arms tightly enough to leave bruises, and choked her.
Stribling is being prosecuted for the two class E felony charges in Warren County Circuit Court. His next hearing is Aug. 28.
