RUN FOR THE WALL

Supporters at the Tribute to Veterans Memorial site in Warrenton wave flags for the 2018 Run for the Wall motorcycle ride passing on Interstate 70, May 21, 2018.

The Run for the Wall motorcycle ride for military veterans will travel through Warren County Monday, May 20, and the organization's outreach team will be at the Tribute to Veterans Memorial in Warrenton.

The outreach team will honor several Gold Star Families beginning at 4:15 p.m. and will be present at the memorial until 4:45 p.m., said Wendell Webb with the Tribute to Veterans Memorial Committee. Approximately 500 bikers traveling east on Interstate 70 for the Run for the Wall event will ride through the area during that time.

"The Tribute to Veterans Memorial invites all supporters of our veterans to come," said Webb. "Bring chairs and U.S. flags to cheer them on as they pass by."

Run for the Wall is an annual nationwide motorcycle ride meant to promote healing among all veterans and their families and friends, to call for an accounting of all prisoners of war and those missing in action, to honor the memory of those killed in action from all wars, and to support U.S. military personnel all over the world.
