Heat advisory

The Warren County residents may be eligible for a free window air-conditioning unit through the county’s “Beat the Heat” program.

Due to the impact prolonged severe heat and cold has on public health,  Warren County emergency services agencies and the Warren County Health Department initiated the “Beat the Heat” program.

With this program the county supplies window air-conditioning units and portable heating units to eligible Warren County residents. Eligible resident are those who do not qualify for any existing programs in the community and may not otherwise be able to afford them, but qualify for this program with extenuating medical needs.

This program has helped a number of Warren County residents over the past couple of years.

Donations are needed to help replenish funds. Residents, businesses and organizations are welcome to become partners in the project and contribute to the supply of these desperately needed units to the community’s most vulnerable residents.

To make a donation of a new or slightly used unit, or to make a monetary donation, contact the Warren County Health Department at 636-456-7474. Checks may be made payable to Warren County Health Partnership, Inc., and may be dropped off at the Warren County Health Department or mailed to 101 Mockingbird Lane, Ste. 100, Warrenton, MO 63383.
