Road work sign

Weather permitting, MoDOT crews will begin a resurfacing project on Highway W in Warren County on Monday, June 10.

About 9 miles of road will be repaved between the Interstate 70 North Outer Road and Highway A.

“Crews will be putting a new 1-inch asphalt overlay that will improve the surface for motorists,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the work zone while the work is completed. A pilot car will be used to move traffic through the work zone. Construction signing is in place to warn motorists of the work.

Drivers are reminded to obey all work zone signs and personnel, and put down cell phones to help eliminate distractions.

Mid-River Asphalt out of Troy was awarded the project contract for the amount of $519,378. It has 30 calendar days to complete the project.
