A Marthasville man and two others were injured Sunday, June 2, in a collision between vehicles traveling opposite directions on Highway 47.

Dennis J. Busch, 47, Marthasville, suffered moderate injuries in the crash, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report. Busch was taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington.

The crash happened at 5:11 p.m. just south of Ridder Road, about a half-mile north of Marthasville, the patrol said. Busch was driving a 2007 Chevy Silverado southbound when he reportedly was struck by a 2017 Jeep Renegade traveling north. Both vehicles drove off the road, and the Jeep overturned.

The highway patrol alleges the Jeep crossed the center line of the highway and struck the Chevy that Busch was driving.

The driver and a passenger in the Jeep, Gary V. Lidholm and Juanita Lidholm, were both reported to have minor injuries. Both are 72 and are from Denver, Colo. They were taken to Mercy Washington.

All three patients were wearing seat belts during the crash, the patrol said.
