Schools are going back in session this month across Warren County. Public and private schools in the area have multiple open houses and gatherings prior to the start of school.

Below is a schedule of important back to school dates.

Warren County R-III School District

Aug. 7 — Black Hawk Middle School back to school event, 1-7 p.m.

Aug. 7 — Warrenton High School open house, 5-7 p.m.

Aug. 8 — Open houses at all R-III elementary schools, 5-7 p.m.

Aug. 13 — First day of school.

Wright City R-II School District

Aug. 12 — East Elementary open house, 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 13 — West Elementary open house, 5 p.m.

Aug. 13 — Wright City Middle School open house, 6 p.m.

Aug. 14 — Preschool open house, 5:30 p.m.

Aug. 15 — First day of school.

Washington School District

Aug. 13 — Washington Middle School seventh-grade orientation, 8 a.m. to noon.

Aug. 13 — Washington High School freshman orientation, 8-11 a.m.

Aug. 15 — First day of school.

Holy Rosary

Aug. 11 — Backpack Sunday; students drop off supplies and meet teachers, noon to 1:30 p.m.

Aug. 16 — First day of school, noon dismissal.

Liberty Christian Academy

Aug. 12 — Meet, greet and ice cream social, 5-7 p.m.

Aug. 14 — First day of school.

Aug. 27 — Required curricula night for parents of seventh- through 12th-grade students, 6:30-7:45 p.m.

St. Ignatius

Aug. 18 — Parent school supply drop-off, 9 a.m. to noon.

Aug. 19 — Parent school supply drop-off, 4-6 p.m.

Aug. 21 — First day of school.

St. Vincent

Aug. 13 — School open house, begins with Mass at

6 p.m.

Aug. 15 — First day of school.
